Choosing to pursue a creative life rarely follows the easiest or most obvious path. It asks us to take risks, change direction, start again, and sometimes wonder what might have happened if we had chosen differently.
Otherwise is an invitation to consider that question.
Where might you be if you hadn’t followed the path you’re on? What would you be making? Who might you have become? And what parts of that version of yourself still exist alongside who you are today?
For this dinner, we ask each guest to bring something that represents their truest creative expression — a piece of work, an object, an idea, a practice, or something they’ve made — whether or not it has anything to do with what they currently do.
Because sometimes the most interesting parts of ourselves live in the places we might have been, otherwise.
