The Makers Table is a call to create—together.
More than a gathering, it’s a collaborative experience where every guest contributes, free from the pressures of work or commerce. Inspired by the dinner party movement and fueled by Sydney’s research on collaboration, it’s a space where creativity flows, connections deepen, and artistry takes on new life.
Part meeting ground, part launchpad, The Makers Table sparks unexpected collaborations that push ideas further. At its core, it’s about transforming shared moments into lasting creative relationships—because the best ideas are born when we make, together.

Dinners happen about once every 6 weeks. The dinners are capped at 20 guests, so no matter how badly we want to have everyone join, our capacity is limited. We also curate the groups to ensure that we don't have too many people overlapping in craft, community, etc. The goal is to make new and surprising connections, and this process is lengthy and challenging. We think deeply about every dinner and want to make sure that when we do extend that invitation, it's the right dinner for you. Hang tight! We want to have you. In the meantime, we would love to meet you at a community event to learn more about you, and what your ideas are, so we can get you in as soon as possible.

The Makers Table is a collective community experience that fosters collaboration, and your contribution helps show your fellow guests what you do, so they can have an experience. We believe this is crucial to setting the stage for collaboration to unfold. By experiencing one another and your contributions, you have a better sense of who people are, what their work is like, and how you could fit together. Contributions can get as creative as you want… we have had a ceramist make dinner plates, a photographer shoot portraits of every guest, a business owner gift their product, a musician create a playlist, a chef create a course, we have had customized ice cubes, venues shared, linens customized, interviews recorded, and we could go on. There are “no rules” on what a contribution has to look like, so get creative!

Dinners are invite only, and capped at 20 guests who all make a contribution. Our community events are public events where our community and people interested in joining our community can come together to network, connect, and enjoy an evening without making a contribution.

Hosting these dinners is expensive, we are doing our best to make it accessible and cover overhead. The reason we can keep tickets under $100 is thanks to the contributions of our guests and our brand partners. If the fee is a barrier for you, shoot us an email to see if we can work something out.

Typically, no. Here’s why: The guest list for each dinner is meticulously curated, so by the time we have invited you, the list is already created. Each guest also has to bring a contribution, so bringing along someone who does not have a contribution won’t work. However, if you want to attend a dinner with your business or creative partner, make sure you both submit an application OR submit one together so we know to add you both to a guest list. We can then work with you to identify what a team contribution might look like for your business.
